Abstract: The study deals with Azorean emigration to Canada, and seeks to identify and characterize emigrants who have returned to their native land, as well as to retrace their life experiences (before leaving the Azores, while in Canada, as well as after returning to the islands). In each case, a sociological analysis is attempted concentrating on generational, familial, professional, and social variables.
