Consent to Publish and Transfer of Copyright Agreement

The Author(s) consent(s) to the publication of this Work by the Portuguese
Studies Review, in accordance with the terms and provisions set out
below.
2. The Author(s) warrant(s) that this Work has not been previously published
in any form (not precluding previous circulation in manuscript form for
purposes of comment and/or evaluation), and that the Work is not currently
under consideration by another periodical and/or publisher.
The Author(s) also warrant(s) that the Work does not violate any statutory
rights, does not knowingly infringe any copyright (verification being
fully incumbent upon the author), and is not of a libellous nature. The
Author(s) accept(s) full responsibility for the contents of the Work.
3. The Author(s) hereby transfer(s) to the Portuguese Studies Review
the copyright in the Work named above, such that: the Portuguese Studies
Review shall possess (a) the exclusive and unlimited worldwide rights
to publish the Work in all forms of media known or yet to be invented;
(b) the right to translate (or permit others to translate) the Work wholly
or in part; (c) the right assign to third parties the right to publish
the Work. The Portuguese Studies Review shall remain in possession
of these rights during the full term of copyright according to valid international
conventions, and according to the laws of Canada and of the Province of
Ontario, including renewals and extensions of copyright and all subsidiary
rights.
4. The Author(s) may freely and without limitations use part or all of
this Work in any future works created for their own use, educational use,
or non-profit live performance use (including teaching, public lecturing,
and free distribution of materials in classroom or study group settings),
as long as such works are not intended for publication, commercial distribution,
and commercial performance.

The Portuguese Studies Review will grant any reasonable request
submitted in writing (or through the Review's Web form) by the Author(s),
or on his/her (their) behalf by agents, for permission to republish part
or all of the Work, conditional on an acknowledgment of first publication
of the Work in the Portuguese Studies Review. Requests for republication
in large print runs, in digital collections of works, or for open-access
databasing in commercial mass storage media, may be subject to a permission
fee.
